Series Testing.

“Conversion Kings were recommended to us by one of our investors and we were not disappointed. The engagement from the team was first class from the very first interaction. They responded speedily to our brief, quickly mobilised a team led by their Data Analyst who was exemplary, and organised a discovery session to deal with our short turnaround budget constrained piece of work. The attitude, the quality of the conversations, the speed of work and the depth of the outputs were outstanding. We are currently re-platforming our CX in order to implement the Conversions Kings recommendations to their fullest. We look forward to working closely with the team again in the near future. ”

What is Series Testing?

Series Testing is a visual representation of your conversion optimisation strategy which orders your tests in a strategic order.

Series testing groups every test based on issues identified in your Conversion Audit. This provides a clear path of how each conversion issue is solved while maintaining flexibility to learn and pivot along the way.

The Series Testing process.

Tests from your CRO Testing Plan are grouped and ordered based on solving an identified issue. A/B tests which have been selected to solve each issue are assigned to a Round. The Round a test is assigned to is important and carefully thought out by our expert CRO strategists, as the results from a previous Round will enrich the next Round until an augmented winner is revealed.

Series Testing is most effective when communicating the status and results of your CRO program throughout your business. Clear visuals and succinct metadata allow clear communication of the progress through your CRO program, what you are working towards, and how you are going to get there. As a result, you will get better buy-in from all stakeholders and be in complete control.

1. Defined Roadmap

Without clear goals and objectives, your Conversion Rate Optimisation program can end up spinning wheels and not moving the conversion needle. However, with Series Testing, every test is selected to solve an identified conversion problem. With this rigour, Conversion Kings will create a 12 month CRO strategy, where each identified issue has a series of tests designed to solve it.

2. Mitigate risk of running irrelevant tests

Much the same way cleaning your car has a proven process of washing before polishing, your CRO test execution behaves in the same way. Using the Series Testing approach, you will never run a useless test again. By arranging tests into a strategic order to solve an issue, you will never run an A/B test that makes others impossible to be run.

3. Effective communication tool.

If anyone ever taps you on the shoulder to ask how your CRO program is going, you will be able to easily show them at what stage your conversion program is at, where it is heading, and what you have learnt along the way. Used in combination with the Conversion Kings revenue projections, you will also be able to state with a level of 90% confidence the amount of additional revenue the CRO testing program is going to bring into your business.

4. Lowers Production Cost

Series Testing incrementally creates an augmented winning variation over time. Conversion Kings only recommends implementation to your live site only when a significant and optimised experience is proven. This means that you do not need to implement winning variations after the completion of every test. Consequently, this dramatically reduces your development costs and speeds up the progress of your CRO program, giving your business more resources to reinvest in website optimisation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here's some extra information.

Contact us at any point. We are happy to answer any questions you may have.

Does CRO Series Testing work for whole page redesigns?

Yes and No. Yes, it will help you validate your page redesign through incrementally introducing and testing new elements. No, if you want to build a new page to test. In this case we would recommend that you create an alternative page and use the testing software to triage traffic between the control and variation. Most CRO programs have a number of single tests which complement the Series Testing strategy.

Do you have to wait until the end of the Series to implement?

No, however it is recommended to do so. Obviously, if a test is absolutely killing it from an increased performance perspective and it makes financial sense to do so, then of course. However, holding off implementation to the end of the Series will help increase velocity and reduce rework.
