What is Series Testing?
Series Testing is a visual representation of your conversion optimisation strategy which orders your tests in a strategic order.
Series testing groups every test based on issues identified in your Conversion Audit. This provides a clear path of how each conversion issue is solved while maintaining flexibility to learn and pivot along the way.
The Series Testing process.
Tests from your CRO Testing Plan are grouped and ordered based on solving an identified issue. A/B tests which have been selected to solve each issue are assigned to a Round. The Round a test is assigned to is important and carefully thought out by our expert CRO strategists, as the results from a previous Round will enrich the next Round until an augmented winner is revealed.
Series Testing is most effective when communicating the status and results of your CRO program throughout your business. Clear visuals and succinct metadata allow clear communication of the progress through your CRO program, what you are working towards, and how you are going to get there. As a result, you will get better buy-in from all stakeholders and be in complete control.
1. Know Whcih Test Works Best
Only with clear goals and objectives can you measure the impact of, or return on, your Conversion Rate Optimisation program. In Series Testing, we create a 12-month CRO strategy and design a series of tests to solve each of your identified issues.
2. Eliminate Irrelevant Tests
Tests are arranged and planned in a strategic order to solve a specific issue. With Series Testing you never waste time, effort or investment running an A/B test that isn’t helping you find the best possible solution to an overall goal or issue.
3. Easily Communicate Progress
If anyone ever taps you on the shoulder to ask how your CRO program is going, you’ll be able to clearly explain which stage your conversion program is at, where it’s heading, and what you’ve learnt along the way.
4. Project Your ROI
Used in combination with our Revenue Projections formula, you’ll be able to state, with a 90% confidence level, the amount of additional revenue that your CRO testing program is going to bring into your business.
5. Reduce Production Costs
We recommend you only make changes to your live site when a significant and optimised experience is proven. Following the Series Testing process of eliminating lesser variations until an augmented winner is found, means you don’t spend development budget and CRO program time on less than optimal solutions.
